The Blonder Tongue AP Series is ideal for moving an off-air channel (VHF or UHF) or any single channel source to any unused channel (broadcast or CATV, including HRC and IRC assignments) in the system. These units convert any channel in the 50 to 806 MHz (7 to 43 MHz with Option 17) frequency range to any channel in the 50 to 450/550 MHz (7 to 450 MHz with Option 04) frequency range.

The Blonder Tongue AP Series includes professional quality, agile heterodyne processors equipped with the Emergency Alert System (EAS) feature, which can also be used as an alternate IF input. These modulators have a wide range of standard and optional features that make them very suitable for advanced CATV systems.

Any standard audio/video source can be used, such as satellite receivers, television cameras, video tape recorders, or television demodulators. The Blonder Tongue AM Series is ideal for placing audio and video onto any unused channel (broadcast and CATV, including HRC and IRC assignments). These units provide audio and video modulated RF carrier on any channel in the 54 to 550/750 MHz frequency range. The Blonder Tongue AM Series includes professional quality, agile audio/video modulators equipped with the Emergency Alert System (EAS) feature, which can also be used as an alternate IF input. The Standard TVM860/860S is a Frequency Agile CATV Modulator which features: Integrated DSP-based BTSC stereo encoder option installed when ordered as TVM860S, Integrated DSP-based SAP included in TVM860S,EIA, HRC & IRC or custom frequency plans, Multiple inputs: Two separate A & B channel video and audio inputs including left, right, SAP in TVM860S 4.5MHz IF, Main and Aux CIF inputs, A & B channel video and audio inputs switched automatically on, video sync loss or user/remote selection, Multiple IF loops are standard to support all scramblers, Contact closure for EAS IF switching, FCC offsets selectable, External 12MHz reference input/loop to lock carrier to reduce ingress beats, Remote monitoring and configuration by networked Ethernet SNMP or RS232. A composite audio/video IF loop provides compatibility with scrambling encoders, ghost cancellers, and IF override applications. 4.5 MHz (modulated) audio input connections are provided to bypass the internal stereo encoder for compatibility with external units additionally, the MPX loop is useful when used with the EAS-12B emergency override system. The integrated stereo encoder (optional) will provide a BTSC stereo encoded output channel. The SVM860 features rear panel interface connections for input of NTSC video and monaural and discrete left and right audio. The front panel output test point provides a quick reference test point prior to channel combining equipment, saving time and service interruption during setup and maintenance.

The simple push button tuning interface allows the SVM860 to be configured for CATV standard, HRC, and IRC or North American broadcast channels with an RF output of 60 dBmV. Attractive and easy to operate, the sleek design highlights the useful front panel modulation bar-graphs and channel indicators. The Standard SVM860 agile modulator is a frequency agile audio/video professional re-broadcast grade, microprocessor controlled CATV modulator.
